The Extra-Ordinary Internal Adventures of Alchimède
Alchimède is my second baby (after Anouk, my daughter). I started it in January 2005 and finished the delivery in October 2006! I worked on it like an ant, each time a had a little bit of free time over night and week end during these 2 years. I was believing in it and I was sure it would bring me fame and celebrity. I sent it to French editors and it fell –off course!- into silence… I’m so happy to find a place for him (Alchimède)/it (the book), thanks to this blog. One day, I’m going to continue his Extra-ordinary adventures… but let’s start by translating this first volume in English.
About Alchimède:
Alchimède is an anti-hero egotistical and misanthropist… who would like to make a difference for humanity! Yes, those are quite contradictory feelings and this is only one aspect of his problematic (he’s also perfectionist, in inertia and procrastination, spending a lot of time in intellectual diversions!). Anyway, supported by an hammy internal guide, two silent characters (but who think a lot) and an old classmate, with a big mouth and a big heart, Alchimède tries laboriously to change and to embrace life with a learning mindset.
In this first volume - The Creative Tension - its initiative path is going to bring him to go from: “How to be this genie capable of writing an unforgettable work for humanityâ€, to: “How to be this genie capable of writing an unforgettable work for humanity (yeah, it’s hard to let go of), and being perhaps a little bit less alone, a little bit more connected to others and to his own humanity.†Ok, it’s not very spectacular, but it’s already a progress for him!
